My name is Carrie Purkhiser and I reside in West Baden, IN. I practice digital photography out of my home, or at your choice of location. Our home is a very family oriented environment. We believe that a photo session doesn't have to be stressful, and that keeping honest prices, an open mind, and fresh ideas are a must! Purkhiser Photography offers a variety of services - Pregnancy, birth, newborns, children, seniors, weddings, and special events to name a few. We offer several digital composites and packages too! A photo session may be 15 minutes to 2 1/2 hours. You call the shots! Thank you, and I look forward to serving you and your family! How was Purkhiser Photography born? My infatuation with photography actually started at age 7. While most kids were looking at toys in the sears catalog, I was drooling over the cameras for endless hours. That passion continued to grow. I got my first camera at age nine, and spent the next several years photographing my pets, family, or anyone that would let me! I met my husband, Dwight, while I was in high school. We married 2 years later and started a family. I worked with the public as a family support specialist for two years, until our first born became seriously ill. After a fight with pneumonia and RSV, we decided I should be home full time with our young child. We expanded our family, and currently have four beautiful, homebirthed, breastfed children. After a horrible photo experience with our oldest two children, the adventure began. What better subjects to practice on then my own kids? We started having several inquires as to what studio photographed them. Then, the requests for photos began - and Purkhiser Photography was born!
